The story

RezzoPot came to life as part of an experiment and review of harmonics in everyday items that we may consider turning into ‘sampler instruments’ If you watch the video you will understand (see TUTS page). Several pot were chosen from around my house and this particular ‘Mr Cream’ flowerpot came out on top harmonically so I set about recording, editing and adding to a standard Logic Sampler to create a pitchable instrument. However, it soon became apparent that this could be something more so i began running it through some synth modules and guitar pedals and eventually settled upon running it through MI ‘Rings’, a resonator euro rack module which added some further clarity and harmonics to the sound. From there the Kontakt instrument was created with some really useful ‘one knob’ effects that can really allow further processing, it can be bass, a percussive instrument, a lead, a bell, a pad and so much more.. enjoy 🙂

  • LEGALIZED POT

I stopped by PIANOBOOK today to search for a new sound to use with a little project that I’m working on in CUBASE and I found RezzoPot. I don’t do sound design myself but I LOVE the idea of using “Everyday Items” to create an instrument with, and it’s nice to know that “Mr.Cream” lent his unique voice to this beautiful new instrument.

As I played around with RezzoPot, I found that it worked GREAT for me in the as Melodic Percussion in its Soproano Range. Shout Out THANK YOU to Si Gordon for being very generous to the PIANOBOOK community and for sharing this wonderful instrument. Easy to use and works well with KONTAKT and CUBASE.

Pot is still illegal here in Nashville, Tennessee so Thank You Si Gordon getting this past the US DEA for us to use. It may not be Acapulco Gold or Purple Cookie Kush but RezzoPot is destined to become a new legendary international strain of POT.

    GREAT WORK !!!
    Thank You
