  • This is my favorite instrument I've ever found on Pianobook

    Love this one.

I'm a big fan of strange sounds with atmosphere. My current work is focused on atypical instrumentation with an organic feel. And this is perfect addition to that orchestra.

I've found so much use for this patch along with the Electric Swarmitar and the Swarminet. It has a ton of character and is very modifiable with the ability add or subtract instruments and intensify the "swarm" detuning.

Awesome instrument. Would love to see another.

    Really great sound.

I love instruments that are strange, atmospheric and organic. Synths are fine but just not what I'm interested in at the moment so it's wonderful to find another tool like the Clockworks patch.

I appreciate the large pitch range and the different "styles" that are included. I'll probably find the initial Bowed Style most useful for my purposes.

Found a lot of use for this one.

Very interesting and eerie sound. Love pointing it out in my tracks and telling people what they're listening to.

I find the breathiness/white noise of the sound makes it somewhat difficult to cut through a mix. But the breath is inherent to the aesthetic so it's worth the effort.

  • Rare instrument

This one has character. Really appreciate finding a new patch with such musicality and originality. Could be used to replace a violin or something along those lines.

One issue with sampled bowed instruments is that unless there is a sample for every note, then the bowing-lengths speed up as you reach higher pitches which make chords sound messy. I believe this patch consists of several samples so the re-pitching and bowing-length issue is not very noticeable with this patch.

I would love it if the samples were looped indefinitely. Since they only last a set amount of time, that limits their application.

Still a rich instrument that I'm sure I'll find very useful.

  • Bravo Giacomo

Love recordings of flora and fauna.

    Sound is pristine.

Only issue I have is how the pulse of the chirps is slower with the low notes and faster with the high notes. Obviously this is unavoidable when working with Primadonnas like Giacomo and his Cicada Siblings. But it does somewhat limit the applications for my use.
