Dream away with this Gentle Grand
My first download from PianoBook and I am loving it. This piano is so soft, warm and wonderful. It perfectly suits my style of playing. I know what I am going to do the rest of my afternoon. I'll be playing this Gentle Grand and dream away.
Soundwise it's wonderful and just one extra sparkle in the higher ends would have been even more wonderful. I do hear them but only at a velocity level where it suddenly breaks the magic a little. Maybe I should practice it a little more or tweak the velocity curve of my SL88 keyboard? However I should call this a playability issue rather than that it has to do something with the quality and the character of the sound.
I just recorded a short dreamy piece and tempered the low mids a bit around 270 HZ and 500 HZ while boosting above 5 KHZ the highs with a Hi Shelf. For reverb I used the Altiverb's Teldex preset at 25% wet. Just wonderful! https://soundcloud.com/thesoundofmerlin/gentle-grand-1
