The story

I am a hobbyist and or closet overtone singer/chanter. Back off ladies, I’m spoken for 🙂 I recorded several passes of me singing while attempting to get some cool overtone textures. My cat looked at me differently ever since, but alas I did catch a few moments. Unlike my monk mentors, I have the ability to pitch stuff way down and it works great as a single note drone. Its a bit worldly but still has some sonic mangling in it to make it a bit modern too, I hope?

I also recorded a Tibetan “Singing” Bowl as well. This I kept pretty simple and let the natural overtones do the heavy lifting.

  • Nice combination of exotic sounds

I played a drone pad with a Tibetan bowl, and awesome!! Very exotic set of voices. I really appreciate these playable and exciting instruments!

  • JM is the Golden Child...

They say he can survive by eating one a leaf a day and conjure birds out of thin air. Either way the Tibetan Bowls are awesome with long evolving overtones which make for truly spiritual pad sound. As for the Overtone Singing Drone - it's really well done and super effective. I feel the need for incense and a bell. Now sit down and cross your legs...

  • Awesome for scoring

I didn't really like the sound of the first drone patch so i deleted it from the folder. However, the second tibetan bowl pad is absolutely beautiful. I think singing bowl pads are some of the coolest pads because you get this really warm, beautiful resonant tone but you also get this high end metallic scraping shimmer that isn't harsh but still fills out these frequencies. No controllable GUI but i dont think its needed here. This sound is perfect for meditation/ healing music, scoring and much more. Awesome job here

  • I love this sound!

I think the title says it all about what this instrument does :D Instant himalayan feeling, which is surprisingly hard to find among other virtual instruments anywhere,

  • A small journey to the East

This is a very small set of two patches that will surely remind you of the eastern mountains. It's simple yet effective enough to keep you awake in this dreamy soundscape. Being used to Joshua's way to present his instruments, I was not surprised to just see a simple wallpaper to set the mood.
