The story
A 15-layer ebowed guitar instrument loosely inspired by the Dewanatron Swarmatron.
I’ve made a bunch of versions of this bendy swarmy Swarmatron-inspired instrument over the years in Kontakt and Omnisphere with various sound sources like strings, horns, and synths for my work on shows like Scandal and the upcoming Netflix film, The Block Island Sound.
This one, however, blending the ebowed guitar textures I love from the likes of Nine Inch Nails with the bendy Swarmatron textures I love from totally way different people like Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, felt like something special, so here it is!
So go out and transition into or out of tension, ride the mod wheel and play it like a string pad, play it like a Blade Runner horn through long reverbs and delays, put it through your favorite amp sim, channel your inner David Bowie, bend it, swarm it, and do things with it that I didn’t think to do. BYOS (Bring Your Own Splosh – you already have your favorite reverbs and don’t need Kontakt’s!) (…unless you really want it and then I’ll add it in)

A perfect, haunting swarm.
After checking out "The Swarminet" - which I recomment you immediately go and download right now - I had to try this one too. The idea is exactly the same, except this time it's a guitar swarm that will haunt your dreams. Since the guitar can be a little more spicy sounding than the clarinet, the sound is a little more harsh, but this makes it perfect for the purposes of a haunting swarm. Everything about Paul's instruments is simply perfect and beats me when I think they are out here for free.
Simply amazing
As i said in my reviews of the swarminet, i would love more instruments in this series because the pitch bending is so unique and fun, the GUI is amazing and useful and the sounds are great. I also said in that review that i prefer this instrument to the swarminet because i just feel like this sound works better with guitar. I like to cut fair amount of high end from both instruments. I like the more mellow tone and i also find you get a smoother transition between the pitch bending. You can create such a moody and mysterious vibe at the beginning of the track by just playing a chord and fading back and forth between the pitch bending. Very post rock. These instruments are super quality and i would love to see more in this series. No complaints, just vibes
Swarm Reception
Love it! This is a perfectly executed Guitar swarm instrument. The GUI provides setting for the swarm note range, pitch bend up and down amounts; the filter sweep is controlled by your mod wheel.
