Melodica Soprano

Melodica Soprano

After sampling my Monington and Weston Piano I thought what next …

This instrument was made on 2 Sept 1966 by Hohner and belongs to my wife Jill, which she first played when she was 11. Jill played the instrument when I sampled it so I have recreated history 52 years later 🙂

This is the clean Melodica Soprano and at a later date I will mangle it and make some pads.

The major problem making this instrument (it probably demonstrates my “beginner” status for Kontakt Instrument making) is that it triggers every sample from the beginning. Thats fine for each breath or the first note played but if you already have a note playing on the real instrument the second and subsequent notes wont have the attack (breath) as air pressure is already inside the instrument. Hopefully a talented scripter may be able to help 🙂

Leave a review to let others know what you thought of the instrument!
