Surely amongst the best on PianoBook
There is a complex balance to be made with regard to piano action noise and I have been a little dismayed with the intrusiveness of ancilliary noise in the piano samples I have. I am writing quiet but rangey pieces for small ensembles so it matters to me a lot. This lovely piano stands out as getting that balance right. In my present work I had settled on the Glass piano from Spitfire Audio's LAB series. It has a sound that suits my work but the action is too distracting. Replacing it with this one produces just the right result - the timbre of the instrument is not lost, and the action is still there as it should be, but it doesn't intrude and I think the work done here in creating the samples deserves high praise.
