The story

Piezo Bunny.

This little gem of a toy piano has been sampled before, but not like this! I’ve recorded the samples with a piezo element taped to the top. This gives it a more direct and intimate sound. As if you’re the bunny playing it!

It has 3 sets:

clean: 3 round robins, plain hits
slow: 3 round robins, recorded through a Zoom MS-50G pedal with a slow attack and delay
freeze: 1 sample per note, edited with an effect to create infinite sustain. And a sub octave of that.

All is editable with an envelope for more shaping possibilities.

Have fun!

  • Absolutely beautiful layering

Absolutely beautiful. Love the layers.the Sub layer was just wonderful to add on the instrument. Created a really nice low end. Very beautifully sampled instrument. Love how you can hear the slight metallic-ness behind in the back of the mix. Creates a really nice resonance

  • A lovely toy mallet

This is a wonderful toy mallet that features 3 different layers for the user to blend however they want, and they all sound great, both individually and mixed together. There is also another layer that you can mix, called "sub", which adds a lower octave "clean" articulation.

All of them are very well sampled, and along with the 3 round-robins, it sounds very natural and responsive. What I really like about it, is that it has a fantastic resonance along with a smooth metalic texture, without it overwhelming the overall tonality. It's just great!
