Foogered Piano

Not posh, foogered!

The story

If you had the foresight to buy a mooger fooger back in the mid nineties you will have seen a small appreciation in value over the last 30 years (taking into account inflation). With this satisfying realisation I thought it was long overdue that I dust some of them off and make them do their worst against a perfectly decent piano sample I had made.

Whilst the ClusterFlux and Low Pass Filter didn’t do much for me the Ring Modulator tickled my ivories to a new level of appreciation.

By adjusting the modulator speed from fast to slow in time with each attack of the piano sample an effect was created that has an unnerving quiver. Taking this once quite honourable piano to a place that is not scary, nor unpleasant. Just a little bit grubby… wet and slimy grubby.
