Dad’s CBG

This library is a noiseprint of a unique instrument, and an exploration of some UI and UX concepts. It’s an examination of the possibilities of creating a highly flexible, performance-oriented library with a lightweight, high-quality sample load.

Dad’s CBG is an instrument my daughter and I spent a happy Father’s Day assembling, along with a ratty-sounding solid-state amplifier. After capturing the instrument, I decided to have a little fun and attempt to reproduce some of the ways I use it in the studio, along with how I think about playing it – without adding any samples.
