The story

I’m delighted to introduce Mantras Kontakt Library (Full Licence Only) – a meditative and visceral instrument born from the ancient resonance of Tibetan singing bowls, meticulously captured and reimagined for contemporary sonic exploration. At the heart of this library lies multiple high-resolution recordings (96kHz, 32bit) of traditional bowls played using the rubbing technique, revealing an organic richness that unfolds with every layer.

What makes this library particularly special is its transformation of pure acoustic vibrations into immersive soundscapes: I captured the raw tonal material using Schoeps MK4 microphones, then sculpted it into functional pads and granular synths through the deep capabilities of Kontakt 8. The result is a set of evolving textures – both ethereal and grounded – each echoing the meditative essence of Tibetan ritual while offering cinematic depth and flexibility.

Originally created for the short film Ashes of Tummo in collaboration with ArtFX, Mantras bridges the sacred and the synthetic, tuned to A=440 Hz for seamless integration into modern scoring workflows.
