Warty Dulcitone

A knackered old Dulcitone (tuning fork piano) rescued from a life sitting unloved as a sideboard in Bristol is re-patriated to it's homeland of Scotland.

The story

A tuning fork piano that led inspiration to the Fender Rhodes was found on e-bay by my PA. I told her I’d vote for it. When the deadline approached I could see that there was someone eager to get the lot as the bidding went way higher than expected but I GOT IT. Minutes later my P.A. texted saying “sorry I tried to win the bid but someone else really wanted it and out-bidded me”. Y’up we had been bidding against each other and I paid about 50% more than I needed to.

Anyway on re-patriating this instrument (invented and manufactured in Glasgow) I decided to sample it warts and all before giving it a good service.
