Tiago Morais Morgado

Tiago Morais Morgado is a Portuguese composer, improviser, sound designer, music curator, sound engineer, and software developer. His practice is defined by a cyclic recursive iteration of procedures, techniques and concepts, never staying in conformity with pre- assumptions, where entropy, passion, love, and desire drive him to derive order out of chaos out of order, and always question pre- established canons, keeping a convergence and divergence between these practices throughout the course of time, lead him to develop his musical practice. To summarise, an eternal provisionality and uncertainty. His current musical influences reside in people such as David Sylvian specially in his experimental stuff ranging from his collaborations with Holger Czukay to his work with Samadhisound right after his departure from Virgin Records, Malcolm Gostein, Fausto Romitelli, Horacio Vaggione, Herman Kolgen, and Ryoichi Kurokawa. His work with nachtstuck records is deeply influenced by editions mego, samadhisound, and psi records. his core personal values reside within the scope of universalism, humanism, neutrality, let wing principles, and progressivism, as well as hermeticism. His spiritual vision is influenced by Aleister Crowley, Michel Foucault, Noam Chomsky, Marcuse, Hofstader, Robert Anton Wilson, as well as George Carlin
