Violin Experiments

A violin library, created for those who crave horror... Like myself.

ByMark ("Nowa") Taylor

The story

So, sometime during spring after seeing Aleatory kick off… I was thinking about ways I could expand the musical world I built up with Aleatory and how I could make this next library bigger and albeit more improved.
That’s where Violin Experiments comes in. I asked my friend Arianna Cunningham (Aleatory violinist) if she would like to collaborate with me on creating this new library. She loved the idea.

Here’s the inspiration for each sound:
Slide Ups – basically a cut Aleatory preset.
Aggressive Bows – I have anxiety, and sometimes i have it bad, so the screechy nature of this is
actually an abstract way of communicating what that anxiety feels like.
Microtonal Bends -I just thought this would be fun
Shuddered pont. – We’ve all heard normale to sul pont before… BUT WHAT ABOUT
NORMALE TO SUL PONT TREMOLO??
Pizz. – Someone in the pianobook discord once asked if there as a library
on here that had normal pizzicato, so here you go random user…
it also has fun stuff when you dial the experimental knob for that one.
Jete – I thought it would be fun to include short jete attacks.
Chatter – Like Slide Ups, a cut Aleatory preset.
Trem.Glisses – So, this one is glisses that gliss up, but, rather than
the gliss being clusters, these are like a “Gliss Builder”,
left is fast glisses, right is slower.

Volume and Experimental are mapped to the appropriate MIDI controllers.
Volume (CC11) = Self explanatory
Experimental (CC1) = messes with the sound, no spoilers here ^^
