The Moody Clarinet
A very unusual clarinet indeed. Good to create cinematic pads and drones.

The story
Few years back after watching a documentary about the history of jazz I decided I wanted to learn to play the clarinet.
I bought one from the local shop, and started practicing every once in a while.
I am far from being a proficient player, but I really enjoy experimenting with the sounds this amazing instrument can produce.
This is my attempt to capture the moody side of this instrument.
I am hoping this kontakt library will be useful to composers and musicians in helping creating cinematic moods and atmosphere.

Not so much a clarinet really...and that's fine by me
The vast majority of notes here don't really sound like a clarinet, and I'm actually glad for it...I can get a regular clarinet sound in any of 100 places. This is different, and that's mostly why I go to Pianobook. I too wish there were some basic controls in place, like ASDR and some reverb control, but I still like it as it is (and impressed it comes in a mere 12MB file!). Props on a unique instrument!
I didn't know I needed this, thanks
Uhm, I just heard it and I gotta say, this sounds amazing. It has a windy low brass kinda sound on the lower end of the keyboard, the higher part sounds more like a clarinet, but still really windy and a little filthy if you get what I mean. I have recently gotten more into the ambient cinematic kinda style so this just fits in perfect! Sound quality is amazing, it has a lot of character, the GUI is really basic though, but it doesn't really need anything more, maybe a knob for the amount of wind (so you split the clarinet and the wind samples and change the volume), but besides that amazing job!
Lovely sound, interface needed
This is an amazingly atmospheric sound and is spread over the enitre keyboard.
The middle ranges are what you might expect from the name - a clarinet but played in its own atmosphere. You can almost feel the smoke.
Trip up to the top end and you get raindrops, visit the depths and you have an immense distant rumble, evolving into a sound almost reminiscent of a multitude of helicopters.
I just wish there was a UI to tweak some stuff rather than having to open up the Kontakt editor - even just the attack and release would be good.
