The story
This sample pack grew out of a simple home recording experiment and a lot of curiosity.
Using a cajon, a banana shaker, and a jaw harp, I started capturing performances and layering them into playable instruments. Some of the sounds stayed organic and grounded, while others were pushed further through processing and experimentation, eventually becoming cinematic pads and textures.
A big inspiration for taking this playful, exploratory approach came from conversations with and work by Mark “Nowa” Taylor, whose community-driven mindset and instrument-building experiments encouraged me to lean into experimentation over perfection.
SamuFL’s Home Percussions is about the joy of turning everyday sounds into tools for creativity — whether you’re writing cinematic music, hybrid cues, or just exploring quirky sound.
