The story
I’ve been teaching at this Danish music school since 2011. After discovering Pianobook, I became fascinated by the idea of creating my own virtual instrument. That curiosity led me to start sampling sounds from the school itself—capturing its unique sonic character through the doors, machines and atmosphere that shapes our little world in Ollerup.
My hope is that this instrument can inspire others to tinker, explore, and play—not just musically, but also through experimenting with XML, coding, and sampling techniques. It’s a celebration of sound, creativity, and the tools that help us shape both 🙂
I hope you enjoy it. I warmly encourage all current and former students of the school (and anyone else who’s curious) to hack it, remix it, and maybe even send me an improved version. Let’s keep the spirit of nysgerrighed alive.
Here is a short instroduction:
Enjoy,
Kim.

Great experiment but limited usefulness
I love the story and idea behind this sample library and the recordings are not bad, however, seemingly without a clear focus and very limited. I was mainly interested in how the choir sounded and it seems that there are just one or a couple of real choir samples that are stretched one octave up and one octave down. I would have loved if the library was focused on getting a better sounding school choir and maybe also developing the additional "school ambiance idea". Anyway, I really love the project idea and thanks for offering it for free!
