This instrument’s creation came about while I was at film school; I needed an instrument that gave texture and movement to a cue but wasn’t as ‘symphonic’ as full strings but also had a cinematic quality. From this, Matchbox Violin was born. It was recorded on my violin, in my studio at film school, and has been a go-to ever since for multiple projects since leaving. I hope other people can make good use of it too!
