The story

Requires Kontakt 6.7 (full) & it’s a BETA version.

The DR-006 is a revised and expanded reproduction of the Roland TR-606.
It’s not uncommon to see these old drum machines rigged up and covered with strange switches and buttons. The DR-006 takes this concept and provides the features that the real instrument lacks.

The DR-006 takes this concept and provides the features that the real instrument lacks, such as more extensive editing of each instrument, stereo placement, pitch control, etc.
What you also get is a built-in circuit bending function, and be prepared for some very dirty, very glitchy results.

To make sure you don’t miss out on anything, the DR-066 offers an array of onboard effects:
– distortion
– delay
– multi-mode reverb
– compressor
– stereo imager
– master filter (multi-mode)

The DR-006 also features a noise-based “percussion” and the ability to load a user sample.

In the beta version 0.9 some functions are not yet implemented:
– Random
– Assignable outputs
– Load/Save via the instrument interface

The other functions are operational. Envelopes for Noise & Sample are now working.

In addition, each source can be disabled using the “Mute Parts” buttons.
The effects follow the same logic.

The detailed settings are available on the second page with the “Switch View” button.

This instrument could have been an abandonware but I really think it can be finished with a bit of beta-testing from the community.
Samples are from a Roland TR-606 and a Behringer RD-6.

Awesome job on this! Great "emulation" of this drum machine.
