The story

Here is an instrument made out of the cow’s roar recorded on an iphone. Seems it’s a nice PAD after all.

  • I'm terrified, thanks

No no seriously. From the very well designed sound signature to the eye staring at me at all times, this is really quite fitting for all kinds of horror, from traditional folk tales to high sci-fi fantasy. I only wish the samples lasted a little longer, or at least loop in a less obvious way. You can easily "fake" that though by playing with the attack and release shapes. Very cool!

  • Gnarly evolving texture

Very interesting and successful sampling of a cow! The layout on the keys is sometimes surprising but this is likely to be used as a texture underneath something rather than be played as a lead instrument.

  • Bovine sound design

You wouldn't guess that a cow was the source of this sample. It's a fun thing to see how someone could creatively manipulate cow sounds into something that sounds like it came from a classic Dr. Who episode. It's not something I'd probably find a use for, but I can appreciate the creativity and skill it took to manipulate this sample into what's presented here. Great!

  • This came from a cow??

In true Pianobook fashion this library certainly ticks the uniqueness box. I found this to be a surprisingly playable library that offers an interesting sound, that is most likely going to be used or warped in a sound design or textural context. Good work!

  • Creative sound design but not for me

This is such creative and cool sound design. Im always amazed when someone can make something so weird out of a completely unrecognizable sound. For pe personally ive never been into these kind of distorted, growly, angular synth sounds. Im mostly into soft, ambient and chill sounds. So i cant imagine a scenario where i would want to use this, except maybe in a rare scoring situation but i know alot of people love these kinds of sounds so i think alot of people will find this very enjoyable.
