The story

Hello this is Chicken Charlie (“Luis dos Frangos”) ver1.0

My Name is Les Cook from Maidstone in Kent England

This is my latest Decent Sampler instrument.

I hope someone can use it and I would love to see and hear the results.

Having spent some time watching and taking part in the fellowship of the Ringpull I saw the Chicken!
So, I could not resist the temptation to try it and make a recording.

I give Chicken Charlie to the fellowship and beyond, treat him well please.
Sorry Charles.

Chicken Charlie was recorded using a Rode condenser mic.
Sample editing and tuning in Reaper.
Coding of the Decent sampler instrument was done with Sublime text.

It is an amazingly simple instrument with only 3 samples and 3 round robins.

The name chicken Charlie comes from a nickname a friend and other English who had villas during the 90’s in Portugal gave to a local restaurant. Called “Luis dos Frangos” located in São Brás de Alportel a town in the Algarve region of Portugal. This is a family friendly low cost grill that produces stunning food at such an affordable cost.
I always remember the sign on the door Closed Monday and September.

Thank you for looking and I look forward to any constructive comments.

Best wishes
