1984 Elec. Bass Vantage X-99B

The story

This is my first attempt at sampling
I recorded my six strings bass with a cheap sound card.
But still, in a mix, it doesn’t appear that much

There is four combinations.
1- Both_Humbukers_active
2- Neck_Humbuker_active
3- Bridge_Single_coil
4- Both_Single_coils

There might be updates

I mostly had fun building the GUI even is very simple

I find the world of Pianobook exciting

The idea was to make a simple and easy to use instrument, very reactive, ready to go One velocity Just strait notes that can be use for shorts and longs In the demo you can hear the four presets and near the end I used kontakt free cabinet, a tone/booster and a reverb plugin The samples were recorded in Reaper thru a cheap sound card and a bit of electric noises After recording some were pitch-corrected manualy The range of notes has been extended to drop D The tone knob is link to the modulation wheel

Very nice indeed
I rarely find sampled electric bass sounds that I can actually use, they always have too many low frequencies or not enough that can't be fixed through EQ. This one is perfect, just the right amount of low frequencies to support the track and it doesn't get lost in the mix. The one thing I would definitely change is the tone control, which could easily be assigned to any control via midi learn should one need it, while it would be much more useful to assign the mod wheel to a vibrato effect, which is the only thing missing here. Other than that, great job, thank you! :)
