I’ve somewhat become addicted to contributing to Pianobook. I never thought I would become a contributor but after jumping in with the Moon Shot Pad Soaked, I want to regularly stretch my limits and add what I can. I adore this community.

Not your everyday Kalimba VST
This is a different take on the cute instrument called Kalimba. This isn't really that cute - it can actually get quite crazy! It's basically a blend between a synth and the kalimba itself. The blending happens through the modwheel, but that's not indicated anywhere.
There's just one patch that once you load it you find 2 settings, a cuttoff knob and a resonance knob. If you turn the cuttoff all the way up, the resonance down, and set the modwheel fully down, you get a natural kalimba sound. The more you play with the settings, the more synthy and gritty it will get. You need to test it yourself and see what it can do.
A cool Kalimba? Yep...
This Kalimba library stands out amongst others. With its extended range and distortion mapped to the MW, this instrument can produce a variety of tones. The Bass notes work brilliantly doubling up any bass instrument. The upper register sounds great with the distortion and a bit of delay.
Rather subtle Kalimba sound
An intimate sound with a dynamic range I wasn't expecting. Well done
Not my Favorite Kalimba on the site
This is undoubtedly cool but it isn't my favorite Kalimba on the site. It has some kind of tape wobble effect im not that fond of for this instrument. The sound is very well recorded but I think i would reach for other Kalimbas on the site before this one. Its cool how the pitch is stretched out. The dynamic range is also pretty good. Ill try this out if i ever need a kalimba and see if its grown on me.
Kalimba with a secret
This is a well-recorded kalimba. The mod wheel controls the amount of saturation. The release is a little short, and the recording itself is a little dark, but overall it is a very playable, very enjoyable instrument.
