Pouring

Recording of pouring water.

ByEgor Kurdello

The story

I was pouring the glass with some water and it has been recorded by case (the recording session wasn’t stopped. SO here is an instrument with this effect, don’t really know what to do with it, but try to enjoy it somehow annyway.

  • Soundscape Potential

What an interesting instrument! I just reviewed Rob's coffee tin and it reminded me of some of the percussive sounds in the Zelda video game series, I think this would perfectly compliment that genre. It sounds dumb to say, but it's obvious that the water sound is prominent, so you have to plan for that type of sound. Raising the attack gives it an interesting water pad soundscape style. I think it could have been a lot more versatile if there was a knob to control sustain too, to completely turn it into an ambient pad, but I'm sure that would be a whole lot of work.

  • Wet Percussion Bell

If you are looking for a sound that has a very unique character, then this is perfect! It has a wet bell-like sound that could work well in various contexts. For added fun, drench see what I did there? it in reverb. Enjoy!

  • Peculiar Pour

I'm not sure where to use this but I like the sound. The recording is clean and clean and the evolving sound particularly low down is interesting.
