Blender RX7

A great pad created from a blender.

ByKeith Theodosiou

The story

Basically I sampled my blender then put it in RX7 Elements.

I messed about with it till I got a fairly decent sound then I put it in Kontakt and did the rest in there.
As I am new at sampling, this is pretty basic stuff.

There is a video of me sampling the blender then putting it in RX7 and Kontakt
but it is pretty boring lol.

Reviews

  • This blender is not annoying!

Never thought that the harsh sound of a blender can become a beautiful pad instrument. Cheers for the idea! It is indeed very nice, and it sounds more like smooth but also textured strings. I can see it fitting in some concepts, but at the same time there is not any room for customization, since the GUI offers only a picture of a blender machine.

  • There's a mellotron hiding in there

If you're a fan of Mellotron choir sounds, this is the library for you. If you dig in to Kontakt and bypass the reverb, shorten the attack and release times, you'll have an incredible likeness of a Mellotron choir. Not sure if that speaks to the lack of musicality in the Mellotron samples, or the extra musicality of Keith's blender, but either way, it's a really cool sound!

  • Great Sound!

This is a great synth sound! Nothing too crazy as far as anything new with the sound. Layer this with a sine wav if you're playing the higher range to help add to the bottom end. The low octave of this is actually great too. Enjoy!
