Vibrid Piano Lite
My latest hybrid creation in its "lite" version. Formed with an audio PCM and a Pluck Oscillator layer, with various effects (addressing either layer or both).
The story
Sampling provides acoustic fidelity, while physical modelling synthesis offers dynamic responsiveness, though each approach has limitations when used in isolation. Building directly upon the concept used for your first Decent Sampler instrument, MorphoLute, this project introduces a far higher degree of complexity by combining PCM sampling with DecentSampler’s Karplus-Strong-based Pluck Oscillator. This hybrid architecture is designed to explore how blending the two methods can effectively offset their individual limitations within a coherent, playable interface.
Here is a short demo video walking you through the 10 presets I made for the full Vibrid Piano version: https://youtu.be/eQ2qDEwnyUA
