Cinematic Granular Synthesizer

A massive sounding Cinematic Granular synth design for cinematic soundscapes or soundtrack work.

The story

Over the last two months, I went through this phase of modular synthesis. Not having enough money for my own Eurorack hardware, I asked chat, GPT, what are some software alternatives and it pointed me towards VCV rack, a perfect hardware emulator, and you can record the patches that you make as an audio or video file and use them for songs. So I designed my own patch in VCV Rack, using two main oscillators, a texture, synthesizer for granular synthesis, and then built-in effects from DecentSampler. I used it in a project and one thing that the sample preset does it even better is capture all of the qualities from each individual sample. When I used it in a song, the texture synthesizer was monophonic, but when I sampled it, it would become polyphonic, which is an added bonus I didn’t think about at first. I am not the best at scripting, so I should warn you this is my first attempt at making a sample preset using DecentSampler, so things might not sound or look perfect, but you know what they say, nobody is perfect. This is mainly good for cinematic soundscapes and soundtrack work.

  • Excellent Sound design

Excellent sound design, very powerful. I only wish there were more presets. I hope there is a update to this library in the near futuro. Great Job
