Albi’s Sound Toolbox

A refreshing sounding percussion kit to enrich your acoustic sonic palette

The story

Alberto (friendly known as Albi) is a good friend of mine.
He’s a prolific music therapist and, aside being a really good pianist and an agile saxophone player, he uses a lot of quirky percussion instruments in his work with patients spanning from any age and type of disability, trying to help relieving problems that other traditional therapies struggle to solve.
To be precise, he literally carry a toolbox full of those instruments anywhere he go.

We met years ago as musicians and what started as a recording session for a local band’s demo album ended up in a lot of musical and professional collaborations during the years.
We often found ourselves conversating about music and the philosophy behind our different approach on using it as a tool for multiple applications, the equipment we use and so on.
Recently, during one of these conversations, yet another idea sparked and here we go again, another project started taking form!

Albi’s Sound Toolbox is the fruit of our joint efforts, it contains the main core of the percussions palette that he uses everyday in therapy sessions and it sports a wide variety of shakers, hand drums, percs and other musical shenanigans from all over the world.
Recorded in studio-grade quality and ready to provide you with a refreshing sounding percussive kit to enrich your own productions!

The instrument has 35 original samples mapped similarly to a GM kit to be easy to play, with 3 round robins each for a realistic result.
It has nice sounding onboard effects, filters and amp envelope to shape your sound directly inside the plugin, becoming a great choice for both studio composition using a DAW and live performing.

Have fun using this instrument and feel free to use the samples in any kind of project!
