Clavinova Warm Pad

This is one single preset from my Yamaha Clavinova CVP-79a. I’ve tried unsuccessfully to replicate this sound using a Yamaha DX7. The instruments have different sound engines. DX7 uses FM synthesis and Clavinova models were based on sampling technology.

When using the Clavinova you can use any of the 127 preset sounds individually but you can also play them with each other using the ‘dual’ button. You can also split the keyboard.

I found that by combining a Grand Piano preset with the Warm Pad preset gave a really nice and usable flute/choir/pad layered sound.

I decide to sample the Warm Pad sounds as is and produce this Decent Sampler instrument.
