Simple Musicbox

This is the free sample library “Simple Musicbox” made by Larry Seyer available for free download at:

This sample library was recorded using a Sennheisser 421 mic placed very close to an actual, real music box. Multiple samples were made, but after careful listening, there was one particular sample that sounded better than the rest… and it stretched very nicely across the desired musical range. This is a one sample patch that has worked well on several of the scores I’ve written for these past few decades.

This library requires the free Sforzando VST sample library player made by Plogue to use.
