This Magnus Chord Organ was given to me by a good friend. It is frightfully out of tune so I had to retune the samples quite a bit to make it playable. I recorded it in my home studio with two Marantz Pro MPM-1000 Condenser Mics and used some analog emulation plugins from the UAD Spark collection to give this instrument a clean but vintage edge. I did very little noise reduction because I believe that one of the main characteristics of the Magnus Chord Organ is the sound of the air being pumped by the motor. I decided to sample this curious little machine because I can no longer keep it and must turn it over to the caring hands of another. I do hope you enjoy!
