  • Characterful but not very deeply sampled

This piano has alot of old fashioned character. Its a bit crunchy which gives it an interesting sound. It definitely has that old bar boor piano vibe. My biggest issue is that its not very dynamic. For scoring this is a deal breaker for me, i really need my pianos to be dynamic. There are a few clicks in the samples here and there but nothing too bad. I hope others that maybe dont care about dynamics as much enjoy this for its unique character but for me personally it just wouldn't work in most cases.

  • Not too shabby, could be better

It does sound old, but not to the point that you can tell right away. You can definetly make it sing but keep in mind. It's dynamics favour mainly a medium kind of playstyle, and though there is some white noise in the samples, but you won't really notice, unless you go very hard on the sustain pedal. If you like using the sustain though be sure not to hold the notes for too long, because there are some hidden clicks there. The low range suffers from a weird click right on the attack of the sample, which can be hard to avoid, so try to focus on the mid-high ranges for a better and more consistent sound.

  • Another piano with character, but not much sustain

This piano has character, but not a lot of sustain. Sadly, the samples here last only about 2.5 seconds, which isn't really enough for most applications, unless you're planning to play only staccato or other fairly short notes and not use the damper pedal. The mic position sounds rather distant, too. There's only one dynamic layer, and while the instrument is set up to respond to velocity, the velocity is scaled to only 50%. As a pianist, I found that to be too restrained and not as responsive as I would hope. The short notes are the dealbreaker for me, though. I just can't get past not being able to use the damper pedal.

  • Ok but lacks dynamic range

Ok old sounding piano but just lacks velocity layers I assume that might give it realism and dynamism.
