The story
In one of the labs at work we have a tubomolecular vacuum pump that whines away at 75k rpm persistently.
I took a sample of this racket and attempted to make an organ pad sort of thing out of it.
The sample is played in reverse on the right channel, both left and right are detuned 4 cents apart and also start at a slightly different point in an attempt to create stereo width. Some filtering, saturation and reveb is added to make the sound a bit thicker and a flanger is added with a control knob should you want a bit more spinny-ness.

Both deep and meaningful
Not for everyday, but when you're having one of those "I need to blast myself into a vacuum sealed turbomolecular exploration of the cosmos" moments, this is just the thing.
Interesting Metallic Pad
This is definitely a unique pad from a unique source. The GUI is really controllable and lets you take off most of the effects if you want and play with a less ambient sound. It has a glassy kind of metallic sound that adds some nice interest and information up at the top end. The pitch effects in the GUI is awesome and something i wish we would see more of on pianobook. While this instrument sounds good and is really cool, there are many ambient instruments on pianobook i prefer. Its still fun and creative though
Average Sound, Great Name
The sound, while not an everyday sound, could work well in many contexts. Enjoy!
The Whir of Machines...
This sound is fun and playable. I found it more playable once the attack and release had been reduced a bit. There's also reverb and flanger on it, and removing those gets you more to the heart of the sound. It's a pretty cool electromechanical treat then! There is a fair amount of noise in the samples aside from the machine itself. You can hear it at lower pitches at high velocities. However, the noise didn't make it unplayable for me. Lots of fun here!
An interesting but limited sound
A drone-like pad that you have to hear it yourself. It is quite chaotic and if you play too many notes in rapid succession, so I'd recommend to go soft on it. There is a little knob to make it more "spinny", which is like shifting its pitch up and down a little bit. It's a very interesting an unusual sound.
