The story

“The Plucked Harmonics Cello” is the second part of my Cello series. I recorded five round robins and release triggers. The instrument has a note range from C2 to C5. You can control reverb, delay, cutoff, saturation, attack and the volume of the releases in the performance view. If you are further interested in the story of me and my cello, go check out “The Short Harmonics Cello” in my profile.
Enjoy!

  • Oooo! Cool cello plucks!

The short harmonics library didn't do much for me, but this is the bomb! This library really came alive with a shortened attack, and while I'm not usually a fan of delay in the GUI, I will admit that a long delay-based improv could be heard in my studio after I loaded this up for the first time. I'll probably highpass this a little before I use it in a track, but I like my sample libraries to be more on the raw side so I can tweak them myself. This is a real masterpiece. I love everything about this library. Excellent work here!

  • I'm not really a fan

The sounds themselves are well sampled, but everything is very quiet, even with the kontakt volume being all the way up by default, so be sure to use some external tools to pump it up in the context of a mix. The instrument favours a medium velocity playstyle, so keep that in mind as well.

Werdly enough, I like the GUI. The instrument offers Releases - which is the release sample volume, Attack, Cutoff, Delay, Reverb, and Saturation that has a very subtle effect. The release sample was also not preferable to me, but I am glad there is the option to fully control the volume of it.
Nevertheless, this might be your sound!

  • Interesting, needs some work

It has a nice sound character and well designed gui however the sound itself is too minimal to merit more than a passing glimpse. I would like to see multiple round robins and lower register showcased in future iterations.

  • Not for me but nice GUI

This sound just didn't do it for me. I just don't think it sounds very good or interesting. Just my opinion though I'm sure others will really enjoy this. It doesn't seem to have much definition or character and is also extremely quiet. The GUI looks really nice and professional and offers a good amount of control. I just can't see myself using this but i appreciate your effort and am looking forward to seeing what you do next
