Tatak – Felt Piano

Tatak – Felt Piano

My dad got this piano for our house in about 1994 I think, he bought it for £10.

This year when I went home to visit I decided to get the piano tuned for the first time (it hadn’t been tuned since 1992). I also decided to fashion a nice strip of felt off an old snooker table and staple it to a length of wood to dangle between the hammers and the strings.
The man who tuned the piano said it’s a clunky piano because it’s German. I like how it ended up.

Recorded with 2 Line audio cm3’s into an apogee duet.

Leave a review to let others know what you thought of the instrument!
