Sirin Pads

Sirin Pads

Story

I created a youtube video last year about creating polyphonic, atmospheric or evolving textures using the Moog Sirin. That video can be found here:

These are 10 programs created using that material. Some of the sounds take a while to unfold. Use the ReadMe file for more info!

It’s no exaggeration to say that each of these 10 presets took me by surprise. I love layering grouped tracks in Ableton, often with a glue compressor, delay or filter delay, to create a sort of unidentifiable, hybrid instrument. This works especially well when the instruments belong to the same ‘family’ of sounds, as is the case with these Sirin Pads. Thank you for curating these, Pete.

this a fantastic selection of instruments. Created by a master of soundscapes – Massively useful and inspiring, the different Patches remind one of the versatility and dynamics of the Moog, but the sampling tells you very distinctive ears are listening and recording and creating the final samples. A “must-have” that will often sneak its way into and under a mix.
