Flannel Piano
Story
Before its spectacular finale, the “Gimp” piano was treated (or mistreated?) with a set of flannels to bring out its inner warmth. The results are something quite magical. Apply some “splosh” to add even more drama!

Resonant - in more ways than one
I’m generally sceptical of neglected instruments and the current trend for lo-fi sound. I grew up trying to make things sound more hi-fi. Perhaps because I’m no pianist I’m perfectly incapable of treating an instrument well – indeed, all of the lo-fi tunelessness I need is in my fingers by design. But, as Thelonious Monk famously said, “There are no wrong notes on the piano,” and the Flannel Piano sounds warm, reverberant, full of character – and the notes are just right. It’s perfect for adding a bit of the wise old duchess to your project.
