The story
A few years ago, my dear friend Idrees Albalushi and I collaborated to create these samples specifically for my productions. This was a way to avoid calling him in the middle of the night to record a chime phrase for a piece of music I was working on.
The patch includes a variety of percussion instruments such as wind chimes, egg shakers, Toca shaker, nut shells, bracelet steel shells, ankle shells, cacho seeds pod, caxixi, and more. Each instrument was performed with different shaking techniques and movements.
Some time ago, I decided to include this patch in my official percussion library as a bonus. Now, I’m excited to share it here with everyone, hoping that you all find it as useful as I did.

Gonna have fun with this!
In an ideal world, the instrument would be drier. But I absolutely LOVE that transient designer, which will make this a very flexible instrument. Looking forward to playing more with it!
Khaliji for an eastern flavor
I write ambient music for relaxation and meditation and these percussion are the perfect "spice" I often need to add that something extra an arrangement needs. Like having a percussionist living next door.
Super great ethnic percussion!
Ahmed's samples are always great! Super well recorded, instantly playable, and always inspiring. This sample pack doesn't disappoint. Lots of usable instruments here. I like that performances are included as opposed to single hits. It really adds to the realism.
Worth the wait!
I'm relatively new to producing, but have been looking for sounds like these since I started, as effects to use in transitions. Several variations each of a number of out-of-tempo shaken percussion instruments. Kontakt makes them easy to stack and balance within a single instance. Can't wait to start using them in my productions. Thank you!
So much to Choose from
This is insane, theres so much to choose from here and it all sounds really well recorded and interesting. I get a bit of an Eastern vibe from a-lot of this percussion. Its laid out really nicely across the keyboard and the GUI also looks really great and detailed without being too much. Theres nice little loops and phrases in here too. EDIT... I wanted to come back to my review to really thank you for this. After falling in love with romantic flight from How to Train your dragon, i really wanted that beautiful sweeping chime sound so i really want to thank you for providing it here
