ASAT Classic Variations
Story
A few years ago, my wife and I visited a music store about to definitely close. After looking at every Telecaster in the store, I heard my wife said « this one looks great! ». It was indeed a beautiful instrument, and the microphone set-up was quite unusual (one simple-coil and one double-coil), so I had to hear it in action. It sounded as good as it looked: a warm and beautifully clean tone. Love at first hear!
Moral of the story: always listen to your wife.
I sampled my G&L ASAT Classic into 5 main patches : DI, Clean, Swarm, Swell and Pad. DI and Clean have 3 round robins. Swarm is made with 4 aleatoric recordings of the same note. Swell and Pad are created from the original recordings through various effects and reverbs, and are modwheel sensitive. I designed several additional patches, like the DI and Clean Wide : one round robin in the center, one in left, one in right.

I love the sound of this
I’ve never been privileged to own one of these guitars and amazed at the sound I can get from this library. Thank you. I just loaded it and ran though all the instruments and have ideas swarming though my head now of how to use it.
Amazing
I have ASAT myself and I have to say this sounds exactly the way it should – it is captured well and sounds amazing!
Fingers crossed for a Kontakt version...
This really does sound amazing, so I’m hoping for a Kontakt version as well…
Wonderful Telly
Watching/Listening to Christian’s YT video and the way he processed, was lovely and warm, which has to start with great sounds – to be able to have this too and now playing, is bringing a smile to my face 🙂 Thanks for creating and sharing – congrats!
I can now play the guitar!
Thank you Frederic for creating these awesome samples!
I’m only on the ‘Clean’ patch so far and have come back to write this review before I forget!
They are incredibly well recorded – just asking for Depeche Mode’s ‘Enjoy The Silence’ riff to be played on them!
