Rusty Gates

Who would have thought that a Rusty Gate would have inspired such great creativity! Whilst walking through the most downloaded Pianobook pianos, Christian set a competition to see if the community could create instruments out of some raw audio clips recorded on holiday. Check out the video explaining it all below:

The response was tremendous, resulting in Christian listening to well over 400 samples. In the following video Christian shares his shortlist – it’s well worth a look as there are loads of great inspiration for manipulating samples – check out all the videos linked as well to see all the different approaches to sound mangling.

From a vote on that video the winners were picked – many congratulations to the three winners, Michael Denny, Art Tadevosyan and Ben Tinker!

Demos

We also now have lots of great demos featured on the Pianobook Soundcloud page, which are also embedded on each of the piano pages so you can have a listen before downloading

If you would like to create a demo then check out the Demos page on how to submit.
