    I noticed when unzipping some of the new instruments that a few of the file names use characters that are forbidden in Windows (i.e. you can’t have a filename with a colon : in it.)

    Just an FYI for those who are working in Mac or Linux environments to double-check your file names for cross-platform compatibility. 🙂

    This is extremely important actually. Thanks for bringing it to the community’s attention.

    Here is the complete list of Windows naming conventions:

    There are more conventions in the link above but here are the main invalid/reserved characters that should NOT be used in file or folder names:

    < (less than)
    > (greater than)
    : (colon)
    ” (double quote)
    / (forward slash)
    \ (backslash)
    | (vertical bar or pipe)
    ? (question mark)
    * (asterisk)

    @christianhenson
    Any chance you could you add this somewhere to the instrument upload instructions?

    Kind regards,
    Darren
