How play decent sampler on mac keyboard

Hello, I wonder would anyone know if I can change octaves on the mac keyboard when I am in stand-alone on DS to play samples?

You will need to use or download a virtual midi keyboard for this should be able to transpose up or down depending on what you want just make sure that in the options menus of ds select the virtual midi as the main midi keyboard.

Hello!
On my Mac OS 10.14.6 (Mojave) the letter Z goes down one octave and X goes up one octave, pressing successively gets you from C-2 to C8, just like it is in GarageBand.
That seems to be all the control possible, because C and V don’t seem to change Velocity, just like Tab is not the Sustain.
