Hello all and thank you for this beautiful community.
    Quite amazing and exciting.
Mu questions is this – Does anyone know hoe exactly to convert those files you share here with the EXS24 format into a Kontakt compatible format?
CDXtract is far from friendly and I find myself getting lost there.
The specific instrument that got me into this conversion rabbit hole is
“Frédéric Poirier – ASAT Classic Variation”.

    Would appreciate your help 🙂

If you are fortunate enough to have an older version of Kontakt, e.g. K4 or possibly K5, you can import and convert them directly. The same samples — ASAT Classic Variation — caused me to look into it and I successfully converted them. More details are HERE.

Will look at your link. Thanks!

    Unfortunately I don’t have an earlier version…
Anyone here with CDXtract know how by chance?

What do you have ? Full Kontakt or Kontakt Player ?

You could try loading the wav samples into whatever version you have and creating your own instrument or instruments, or try using the template (and accompanying video) that you can download from the RESOURCES section on Pianobook.

The Player version, I’d imagine will have limitations though like timing out after 15 minutes.

    TX16Wx free version can also load these exs files (use the Home link below);

    Hey thanks.
I have the full latest version.
I’ll take a look at the video and the TX16Wx link you shared.
    Much appreciated 🙂

    Hi there!

Clay LaHatte contacted me on Facebook to tell me he created a Kontakt5 version of ASAT Classic Variations, and it is now available on the Pianobook website!

Thank you for your interest in my samples, enjoy!
