As my samples no longer are able to open in Kontakt after the update to 6, and I have no intention in buying/ upgrading at the moment for my Kontakt 5, I have switched to a.o. Decent Sampler. I’ve been using ProTools for years (but have stopped at v. 11) but am a beginner / intermediate in Logic. I’ve downloaded and installed Decent Sampler on my Mac, but it appears to be stand alone only, as it doesn’t appear in my Logic and there is no Decent component in the Logic folder.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix it?

Hi Claus, I use Logic X, the Decent Sampler plug in should just appear in the ‘instrument’ drop-down menu where your AU instrument plug-ins are. Then just load the downloaded instrument into the standalone player.

As Peter Connor said, pick an electronic instrument, Look for the plug-ins settings in the Track tab, look for a blank entry or replace an existing plugin. I have it working in GarageBand. But you have to install the AU version of the plugin I believe.
