    Hi all

    Decent Sampler is a great tool and works for me most of the time without a hitch on a 2019 MBP with 16GB RAM and i9 processor, latest Logic X.
    I do have an issue where larger libraries just crash Logic immediately when Decent Sampler attempts to load them (Claustrophobic Piano’s a good example).

    Anyone figured out a way to tweak things to get DS to run smoother on larger sample libraries, either in Logic settings or with DS somehow?

    Many thanks for any tips!

    First thing is to make sure you are up to date with Decent Sampler (v1.1.3 on all versions at 18 August 2021)

    Then take a spanner to the engine;
    File > Preferences > Engine

    I’m pretty sure Dave Hilowitz has posted something about this elsewhere but I haven’t managed to find it.

    I solved a similar issue by setting the “Engine sampling mode” as “Disk streaming” (’cause someone else posted it before).

    Thanks for this – I shall try both these suggestions.
    Grazie!
