In case it helps, beyond an SSD’s factory set-aside space for file jockeying, you should probably set aside another 10% for additional scratch-pad space, and another 10% for elbow room to minimize fragmenting large samples. SSD’s have improved lifespans these days, but erring on the side of good luck has it’s benefits. I do the same math on partitions, spinning, and external usb drives, counting them ‘full’ at 80%. Nothing good happens when a drive works overtime for straight-time pay!
